BCC Milestone: 100 Car Trips saved!

Congrats to BCC for reaching the milestone of saving 100 car trips and cycling more than 800 miles! Way to go team!

BCC made a brief presentation and handed out fliers at last night's Pleasanton Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee inviting committee members to join or spread the word about our group. It would be great to grow our little team of ten members to include other people we see commuting by bike and to encourage others to dust off the bike and cycle to work!

Steve Sherman rides and rides

Steve Sherman is amazing! He holds the record for the most bicycle trips to work among our little group of mighty cyclists. He has ridden 28 times to and from work, saving 154 car miles!

And he didn't actually get a chance to ride until May, a month after we started BCC.

Steve -- Thanks for being an inspiration!

In other news, May's 533 miles commuted by bike were significantly higher than our first month, April, which saw 168 miles. That's great growth, but let's keep it going. June is off to a slower start, with only 51 miles.
